Blades of Khorne: A closer look

Hi all

We are half way though looking at the 4 major chaos factions. Next up is the Blades of Khorne.

How are the Blades of Khorne

Khorne is the chaos god of war and bloodshed, so it is only right that the sole aim for the Blades of Khorne is to spill blood and collect skulls to appease him. The worshipers of Khorne are also one of the larges forces across the Mortal Realms.

Why play Blades of Khorne

Khorne was one of the first forces realised in Age of Sigmar, in the first box set along side Stormcast. The models released in that set are still some of the best models that Games Workshop have done, in particular the Bloodreavers. Khorne are all about hard hitting and coursing the most amount of wounds possible, even if leaves them vulnerable. There are also enough options in the army the field an entire daemon or moral force. I actually do have a large number of bloodreavers I am working my way through with the aim of having hoard or quantity over quality.

How will they do in 2nd Edition

There are a lot of hero’s to choose from, which means you will be able to capitalise on the new command ability rules. Here are 3 examples.

As you can see, these are all designed to cause as much damage as possible, the true Khorne way.

We have also been informed of a new way to gain command points. Here it is

One thing I am really starting to worry about with this new edition, is that some people will do everything they can to get more command point, which in turn means they can use more command abilities and creat some extremely overpowered combinations. This is really not the way I enjoy playing this game, so it will put me off from taking part in any events.

Let me know what you think in the comments down below

Take care :-)
