Shadespire Nightvault unboxing/review

Hi all

I would like to share with you all our unboxing of the new Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault which games workshop were kind enough to send us.

First off, we have the new boards.

I really like the look of these. Not only are the fantastic artwork, but they are also a great variety to add to existing boards.

All the new tokens

Next up we have the 2 new warbands.

Stormsire’s Cursebreakers.

The Thorns of the Briar Queen.

Some really great looking models. I especially like the Nighthaunt. Each one showing a lot of character, and I also believe these will be a great addition to any Nighthaunt army.

Lots of new cards and dice

To my surprise, there is also a sample of the new Shadespire novel, The Mirrored City.

And of course the rulebook.

The main addition to this new edition of Shadespire, is of course spells.

You can use spells is 2 different ways. You can ether use some the same way as you would a gambit card, or when choosing an attack with one of your heros. Both of with will require a dice roll using the new blue dice shown in the pack above. There is a risk however, roll badly, and your hero may loose a wound. For a more in-depth look at the rules and how to play, check out this fantastic video by Warhammer TV https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=Kqe6pcxQPFY

All in all, I think this is a really great set. Not only is it a good place for people to start, but also it’s a great supplement for existing players. The new spells also add another interesting and dynamic layer to a already solid game.

We have also been shown what the next 6 warbands will be.

Sylvaneth

Trolls?

Darkoath

Kharadron Overlords

Goblins

Tzaangors
